Day 4

Whowee day 4. Luna and I hit the pavement and we were moving and grooving. Fast walking for me, loved it! Came back and downed like 16 oz of water. Well a hot shower sounds good. Take care and keep on walking!

Day 3 Done!

Day 1

Ok well day 1 is a success. I just got back from my walk with Luna (my yellow labrador). My sister Laura and her dog Galley joined us this evening as well. I feel good na na na na na na na...I knew that I would now na na na na na na na. I'm plan to start doing the yoga moves Dr Oz has on his site. If anyone has any tips to share, love to hear from you!

That's it for today. Keep on walking...

Dr Oz - Women's World Magazine

So I piked up Women's World for this week and read the article by Dr Oz and how this gal lost over 100 lbs. I think his idea has alot of merit, especially 30 minutes a day walking, every day.

This afternoon I went to see Julie/Julia the movie and Julie resolves herself to cook her way through the Joy of Cooking by Julie Child.

Now my thought is to resolve myself to walk (or the elipticle at the gym) for 30 min every day no matter what every day for the next year and compare my health from now until then.....theoretically this should not be difficult and the reward to my health will be great. The thing is that sometimes I know I will struggle to get myself going...

Not that I'm procrastinating or anything but I think I will start tomorrow, August 30th. Anyone want to join me?

The Eye of the Beholder - Garage Sales & New Treasures

Ones person's trash is another's treasure right? My favorite method of recycling is to donate items I don't want and then embark on a few select garage sales each spring/summer. The Mill Creek Garage Sale (community event each year the first weekend in May) began the season. My friends Martha, Chad and I embarked on a rainy morning and as compared to years past it was kind of disappointing. More than likely because of the cold rainy weather. That said, I am very pleased that I found a lovely red leather Fossil purse (not used that I can tell), 6 skens of lovely blue yarn, an oil reproduction of a H Hargrove, 2 snow baby pins, a baby Gap outfit for my dear sweet friend Eddie and a Disney snow globe for a grand total of $7.75 for the whole kit and kaboodle! So the weather was difficult, but the time with friends and my newly discovered treasures were pretty darn fantastic!

Came home and basically relaxed and did a little laundry and then ended the day with dinner at Martha & Chad's and then we watched the most recent Lost episode which had been taped for us early to bedders.
